Quem quidem librum omni dilige[n]tia collectum [et] elaboratum, intelligibili caractere proprijs impensis Iacobus Meydenbach ciuis Moguntinus lucule[n]tissime impressit, su[m]ma[m]q[ue] adhibuit diligentiam, opera[m]q[ue] maxima[m] vt singule herbe ac singuli flores, suos naturales colores, ac ani[m]alia ipsa, volucres, pisces, deniq[ue] et alia in hoc preclarissimo op[er]e descripta, suas sicuti eas natura produxit habere[n]t effigies [et] figuras. Hoc modo lectitanti prodesse ac intuentem oblectare impressor ipse Iacobus voluit. Impressum est autem hoc ip[su]m in inclita ciuitate Moguntina, que ab antiquis aurea Moguntia dicta, ac a magis id est sapientibus vt fertur primitus fundata, in qua nobilissima ciuitate [et] ars ac scientia hec subtilissima caracterisandi seu imprimendi fuit primu[m] inuenta. Impressum est inquam sub archipresulatu reuerendissimi [et] dignissimi principis [et] d[omi]ni, domini Bertoldi archiepiscopi Mogu[n]tin[um] ac principis electoris cuius felicissimo auspicio graditur, recipitur [et] auctorisatur.
