Petroleum and natural gas bibliography : being the result of an effort to compile and classify the items of literature in English for which copyrights have been issued, but including many other published items which have been catalogued by the Library of Congress, as well as a few items of general interest not found in the Library of Congress, all of which fall within a comprehensive definition of book literature, as distinguished from periodical literature, relating wholly, or nearly so, to petroleum and natural gas, but not including, however, items dealing with patents, or with petroleum geology of restricted areas and with the further exception of most of the many items found in the available lists of publications of the bureaus and departments of the United States government : but including, since the list is fairly short and no separate compilation has yet been published, references to all articles, notes and comments relating to petroleum and natural gas appearing in the legal periodicals published in the United States : and finally, including references to indexes, lists, bibliographies, and other sources of reference, all to the end that the data herein given will constitute a reasonably complete guide to the literature in English dealing with petroleum and natural gas /
