Samuel van Hoogstraten engraved several of the portraits, provided drawings for others (though Landwehr credits the drawing of Balen's portrait to Pouwels Wyts), and contributed a poem in praise of Balen, plus an explanation of De Hooghe's frontispiece.--Dealer encl.
