Description
Summary:This publication presents a synthesis of the results of the 1996-97 International Crime Victim Survey (ICVS) carried out in 20 countries in transition. A companion to the International Crime Victim Survey in Countries in Transition: National Reports, it seeks to contextualize the criminal victimisation experience of citizens from these countries within an international comparative perspective. Of the many key findings discussed, two are of particular importance: corruption in public administration & the relationship between citizens & the police.
