Description
Summary:The site of Pachacamac contains fourteen pyramids with ramps, monumental structures of adobe, all constructed along similar architectural lines. This study assesses these structures, their common features, speculates on their function, based on a re-examination of the archaeological data. The results of the survey suggests that they were elite centres for feasting and ritual and had a complex history of spatial development during their use, c.AD 900-1470.
