Maps show weather information transcribed by "Abbe" from Jan. 10 to Jan. 18, 1873 with approximately 8 periodic entries per day. "L.H. Rogers & Co., 61 William St., N.Y., Manifold map process, patented Jul. 18, 1870." "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1871 by L.H. Rogers & Co. in the Office of the Librarian of Congress at Washington." Printed on cover : "for use as an illustration of progress in map making since the seventies." Prime meridian: Greenwich and Washington. |
