Description
Summary:This book deals with the post-glacial Stone-Age human inhabitants who were populating the Milfield basin in today's Northumberland, and the evolution of land-use, settlement, ideology and the changing nature of people's relationship with the natural world. A wide range of methodologies and fieldwork projects have been employed. The result is a contribution to archaeological knowledge by way of new fieldwork practices, the development of an interpretative scheme for fieldwalking lithic data and the construction of a detailed synthesis for the Milfield area.
