Gr 7 Up-Skin cancers usually affect adults but do sometimes occur in younger people. This book outlines the risks and looks at ways that teens can protect themselves, now and in the long term, by avoiding activities such as sunbathing and smoking. In a personable manner, Long discusses the types of skin cancers, causes, and treatment with a special emphasis on how to cope with a positive diagnosis. Unfortunately, there are no illustrations or diagrams to clarify the written text. Contact organizations are appended.- Martha Gordon, formerly at South Salem Library, NY (c) Copyright 2010.
