Description
Summary:This is the first political biography in English of the Polish political leader Roman Dmowski (1864-1939). As champion of Polish independence before 1918 and an active leader of the National Democratic Party, Dmowski's significance has generally been in the West. This was particularly true of the formative years, 1895-1907, which is the period of the primary focus of this volume.
