Description
Summary:This publication focuses on trafficking, viewed from both regional and theoretical perspectives. The first two chapters discuss trafficking with respect to Asia and to Europe, permitting comparisons and evaluations of the nature of trafficking on the two continents. The third chapter examines the illegal population movements in Poland, which is a source, transit and destination country of trafficked and smuggled migrants. In addition, it addresses the connection between asylum policies and trafficking, a link which varies from country to country. In its concluding chapter, the publication calls for a multidisciplinary approach to trafficking, outlining ways in which trafficking can best be addressed and through which disciplines.
