Summary:
A compilation of sections from older commonplace books, magazines and newspaper clippings from 1740-1879. Also contains: verse in English and Latin, songs and articles about poetry, and a translation of Book IV of Apollonius Rhodius's Argonautica. Nine engravings from the 1732 edition of S. Butler's Hudibras are pasted in at the end.
