Description
Summary:It is only late in the New Testament that the claim appears that the scripture is inspired. But which writings are meant and what does inspiration mean anyway? In answering these questions, this study begins by attempting to trace the Old Testament and Early Jewish connection between the spirit and the written word through the centuries, and especially with Paul. The result of the investigation, which is not only historical but also theologically interesting, is that Paul and his school are less interested in the role of the spirit in the genesis of Scripture than in the question in which spirit the Scripture is interpreted.
