The Symposium has been summarized in these proceedings, which cover the physiological mechanisms of afferent properties and analgesic effect of acupuncture, modulation of cardiovascular functions by acupuncture, modulation of autonomic functions by acupuncture, andmodulation of endocrine and immune function by acupuncture.
