Review by Library Journal Review

First published in 1871, this was Hardy's debut novel. More of a mystery than Hardy is usually associated with, it offers blackmail, romance, and murder. This release also includes Hardy's introductions to later editions, plus scholarly notes, appendixes, and a glossary. A great value for the price. (c) Copyright 2010.
