Weber includes more than 400 nonagricultural species, each summarized on a single page that covers growth form, commercial use, synonyms, global distribution, habitats invaded, description, ecology, control methods, and primary references. An excellent introductory chapter defines "invasive" and provides some history, impacts, processes, and management of invasions and outlines the book's scope, sources of information, and organization. The numbered see references that end each species description refer to the general bibliography at the back of the book--a very efficient way to handle references when many of them are common to several species. The list of synonyms helps identify plant species with several names, and there is a short but highly useful glossary. Pictures or diagrams might have helped some readers, although other sources provide these. The book is well written and makes it easy to locate particular species. ^BSumming Up: Highly recommended.
