Christopher Lee has entertained audiences for more than 50 years, as Dracula in Hammer Films and, more recently, as Saruman the White in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings. Johnson (Hammer Films: An Exhaustive Filmography) and Miller (Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing and Horror Cinema: A Filmography of Their 22 Collaborations) have joined forces to present the first filmography of Lee's prodigious output. Each entry includes film credits and a synopsis, along with commentary describing Lee's participation and development as an actor. Enhancing the text are Lee's personal thoughts and black-and-white photos. With forewords by Hammer alumni Jimmy Sangster, actress Veronica Carlson, and director Joe Dante, as well as an afterword by Lee, this is great for fans but not essential for libraries. However, those with a big enough budget may want to indulge because the book collects material that is spread across several other resources.
