Description
Summary:The intention of the essays collected in this volume is to illuminate the interrelationship between English and German theology since the reformation. Though closely connected with each other throughout the period, the two nations have developed distinct educational, legal, political, economic and ecclesiastical structures and traditions. These have yielded a complex history of mutual influences in both theology and philosophy. The work is a contribution to the elucidation of these relationships, with a view to fostering a mutually profitable exchange.
