Summary:Conditions for the development of ethical norms among Danish practicing lawyers. The analysis draws on international studies in the field of sociology of professions, and investigates some of the consequences of the internationalisation and commercialisation for the legal community. The author's thesis is that the ethical outlook among practicing lawyers, has been altered because of the working conditions and the organisation of law work.
