Manusov has put together a book that will be a truly useful resource for those interested in nonverbal communication phenomena. The volume includes a broad array of instruments and rating scales that can easily be adapted to study a wide range of nonverbal variables. The measurement tools discussed range from those that are well known and validated to those that are newer and can be used for quantitative or qualitative assessment. This book will serve both to introduce new methods and to familiarize readers with the variety of choices available in the study of nonverbal behavior. All in all, readers in many fields will find this a pragmatic, valuable resource. ^BSumming Up: Highly recommended. Upper-division undergraduates through faculty and professionals. S. A.
