Finding scholarly information is faster and more convenient now than at any time in academic history. Full-text documents grow more readily accessible every day and off-campus access to databases is widely available. Annotated bibliographies in that environment hold little appeal for undergraduates. This work (Hartjen and Priyadarsini, Rutgers) will appeal only to advanced scholars. Coverage includes journal articles, books, chapters, and government reports, 1975-2001, and is international in scope. Subjects include crime and delinquency as related to juveniles in more than 60 countries. The work's two sections (Behavior and Justice) are subdivided by country. There are author and subject indexes. Annotations are brief, typically consisting of a single sentence. A sample comparison with Criminal Justice Abstracts (1977- ) found CJA abstracts much more detailed. To the book's credit, this comparison revealed entries in the book not found in the database. A solid resource. ^BSumming Up: Recommended. For advanced scholars; not recommended for undergraduate collections. L. Minnick Eastern Kentucky University
