Summary:A documentary film about two Bukovina Jews who have survived the persecution by Germans and Romanians: Rosa Zuckermann is ninety and Mathias Zwilling in his late sixties. They still live in Chernovtsy, the former Jewish center of the Bukovina region that is now part of the Ukraine. Director Volker Koepp poses questions and listens to their tales of suffering. Jewish cultural life in the region today is also explored.
