| Summary: | This handbook serves as an introduction to the most important written expressions and classical idiomatic phrases in modern Chinese for students of intermediate and advanced Chinese. It has the following features: (1) It is comprehensive. The twelve chapters in the first section deal with common knowledge of written expressions such as grammar, syntax, and vocabulary.
