Description
Summary:Accessing Human Services aims to familiarize the reader with the organized access systems that provide linkages to social and human services in selected countries. The book offers a general description of access systems and presents a comparative analysis of two basic models -- the British CAB (Citizens Advice Bureau) and the American I&R (Information and Referral). A report is included on countries that employ the CAB or the I&R models, and on countries where aspects of both models are used, together with variations that are unique to that particular country. This cross-national report of access systems reveals both the common elements and the diversities of such systems.
