Summary:The present edition dedicated to the architect Villa Chávez (b. Mexico) and is the resulting work of many years of gathering graphic material, testimonies and texts about this noted architect, characteristic for his most remembered humble and humanist facet. The book follows his life and career trajectory as teacher, cultural promoter, intellectual, artist and a highly regarded architect. Villa Chávez was part of the first generation of graduates of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Guadalajara in 1949, and later founder of the School of Architecture in the University of Colima. The book in includes interviews done by Marina Saravia, text by the architect published in the journal "Palapa", edited by the School of Architecture, collaboration texts by Juan Soriano, Manuel Felguérez, Gabriel de la Mora Centeno, a caricature by Alberto Isaac, family photographs, plans, watercolors and drawings.
