Summary:Between 2002 and 207, photographers João Castilho, Pedro David and Pedro Motta joined to portray communities in the margins of a river partially flooding through seven cities in the northeast of the state of Minas Gerais, nowadays the lake of the Hydroelectric Plant of Irapé, between the cities of Berilo and Grão Mogol, along the Jequitinhonha River. Mixing color and black-and-white photos in a surprising visual narrative, their images lead the spectator to a universe where the poetical use of the light and the compositions create an oneiric atmosphere. The book registers "bigger than life" landscapes in contrast to human abandonment, providing a contemporary revision of the language of the photodocumentary.
