Description
Summary:The water issues in the sub-continent cannot be discussed comprehensively without looking at both internal and external stakeholders. The characteristic is especially apt for the region as the sharing of trans-boundary water has been an issue in the domestic politics. Water issues become a variable in the larger issue of the region. This has been particularly evident in the case of India's neighbours Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. As the region is moving into water stress, the problems both internal and external can multiply. The author has discussed the India China and India Pakistan Relations in the light of water issues faced by the nations.
