| Summary: | A text on the management of head and neck tumors, based on the 18 years of close cooperation between Million (radiation oncology) and Cassisi (otolaryngology) in the management of head and neck neoplasms at the U. of Florida College of Medicine (the four associate editors and all but two of the contributors are also faculty or trainees of the U. of Florida). Space is allocated preferentially to radiation therapy over surgery, because of the numerous texts already emphasizing the surgeon's viewpoint. CT and MRI have dramatically changed the management of head and neck cancer since the first edition of 1984, an area covered in this edition by Anthony Mancuso.
