Entries in this volume encompass important terms and concepts in Baudrillard's thought, contributed by 35 eminent scholars from different academic disciplines in the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. Each of the 105 entries is roughly two pages long and is followed by a list of "passwords" that serve as very helpful cross-references, allowing readers to follow a trail of linked terms throughout the book. References to Baudrillard's texts are cited within each entry, letting readers trace terms back through Baudrillard's work to get a sense of the development of his thought. Additionally, the book features numerous "link entries" (one-line entries within the alphabetical listing that direct readers to longer entries associated with these linked terms or names of other thinkers). Definitions include terms influential in art, architecture, cultural studies, film, human geography, philosophy, photography, and sociology. The definitions and explanations are clear, and their avoidance of jargon makes them accessible to beginners but still useful to those already familiar with Baudrillard's work. Summing Up; Recommended. Lower-level undergraduates through faculty/researchers; general readers. J. Donohoe University of West Georgia
