Most of the work in Seliger's collection was shot over the past decade, including, above, "Merce Cunningham" (New York, Jan. 23, 2009). "I thought . . . even though he's in a wheelchair and doesn't dance anymore," the photographer says in an interview presented here, "there's still this incredible joy of movement around him. . . . He still had this great ability to move with his hands."
