Fox (University of Florida) has written many books and articles over the course of a long and distinguished career. In this work he explains how to use a unique participative management system to more effectively manage all kinds of groups. He presents outstanding examples of improved productivity, innovation, and motivation in organizations using a participatory management approach to problem solving and staff management. The author presents a unique process (the Improved Nominal Group Technique) for successfully implementing a participatory program, explaining how this method improves the management of meetings, makes management-by-objectives programs more effective, and enhances the working of quality circles, codetermination boards, and other participatory management methods. Fox writes clearly, offering practical advice and many applications. The material is well organized and researched. The bibliography includes references to both scholarly and applied works.
