Translation of the author's "Delle glandule otricolari dell'utero a dell'organo glandulare di nuova formazione che nella gravidanza si sviluppa nell'utero"; "Sul processo formativo della porzione glandulare o materna della placenta"; and "Sull'unità del tipo anatomico della placenta nei mammiferi e nell'umana specie e sull'unità fisiologica della nutrizione dei feti in tutti i vertebrati", originally published in Memorie della R. Accademia delle scienze dell'Istituto di Bologna, 2. ser., v. 7, 1867, v. 9, 1869, and 3. ser., v. 7, 1876, respectively. Another edition of the translation appeared 1884, under title: "The Reproductive process: its history, physiology, and pathology"; containing several more monographsand a eulogy of the author.
