Summary:Commemorative edition comprising more than 200 paintings that summarize 91 years of local painting and drawing since the foundation of the Escuela de Bellas Artes (School of Fine Arts) in Yucatán in 1916 with critical texts on the historical context, artists and their artwork. Some artists mentioned include: Alberto Urzaiz, Armando Garcia Franchi, Belmont, Fernando Marrufo (student of Diego Rivera), Dolores Ayala, Aristeo Vázquez, Rafael Viana Briceño, Alfonso Aguilar, Gilberto Guerrero and many more. The editorial project originated by initiative of the 8 painters from the collective Plástica Yucateca Independiente: Emilio Vera, Ermilo Torre Gamboa, Manuel Lizama, Fernando Palma, Eduardo Ortegón (finado), Carol Acereto, Jorge Sobrino and Víctor Argáez.
