A bibliography made timely by the awakening of the social sciences to environmental issues. Although its title denotes specialization, this work contains a wealth of interdisciplinary sources. Four major sections are devoted to citizen participation and decision making on the environment, energy, natural resources, and science and technology; a fifth pertains to environmental mediation. Originally compiled by the authors for their personal research, this bibliography was expanded into a publishable work after the number of citations had grown larger than anticipated. Consequently, several peculiarities exist. Citations are not numbered and are neither indexed nor cross-referenced; instead, the authors list eclectic citations under all related headings, duplicating as necessary. Users will have to check all possible headings carefully for relevant citations. Future editions should by properly indexed. Nevertheless, this is an excellent bibliography containing hundreds of superb sources, and will be a valuable addition to any academic library. -J. C. Stachacz, Dickinson College
