Review by Booklist Review

This revisionist history of the Korean War proceeds with the thesis that the major victims of the war were the Korean people, who paid a horrible physical price and suffered a nation divided. While not untouched by political bias, the authors substantially support their case, using North Korean and Chinese sources for both textual material and pictures. Assertions on matters such as the treatment of Communist prisoners and the U.S. use of germ warfare provide controversy in a book that can be seriously recommended for larger collections. Black-and-white photos; index. RG.
