Robert Creeley, Edward Dorn, and Robert Duncan : a reference guide /

Orenstein has compiled a handy guide to about 1,000 full-text sources for online searchers and their patrons. Each entry includes the name of the publication and the databases providing full-text coverage. Databases are identified by their search codes, and the "Glossary of Database Numbers and Abbreviations" at the end of the volume spells out these codes. The next edition, scheduled for publication in June 1989, will also include coverage dates for each entry. The work is to be revised every six months, and the stated price covers two issues, each one a cumulated update. This reference guide is similar to the Directory of Periodicals Online: Indexed, Abstracted, and Full-text, ed. by Catherine Chung, in that both identify full-text publications and their sources. However, Chung's directory is broken into three separate volumes according to subject: News, Law and Business (3rd ed., 1987; 1st ed., CH Dec '85) Science and Technology (1988), and Medicine and Social Science (1989). Another difference is that Orenstein's guide identifies full-text coverage only, not indexing and abstracting. Chung also lists the ISSN number as well as publication name changes.
