Summary: | Some exceptional ceramic wares were produced in Thailand between the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries, not only in the famous kilns of Sukhothai and Sawankhalok, but also in many others, such as those at Kalong and Sankampaeng in the North of the country. Kenji Itoi, known in Japan as "Sosai", is both a scholar and a collector of Thai ceramics. His informative text is accompanied by 100 superb Plates.This book was originally published in Japanese as a catalogue in conjunction with an exhibition at the Toyama Museum of Fine Art in 1985. The text has been revised for the English edition, and 20 new illustrations are included. |
