Description
Summary:Report on the archaeological finds from the peninsula of Mount Batten and from the cemetery to the west of Fort Stamford. Evidence appears from Neolithic and Early Bronze Age to Roman times throwing light on local economy and industrial activity: the port served two trading systems - a short haul coasting system and a long-haul international system, its fortunes falling with changes in the broader socio-economic pattern.
