Summary: | The exhibition in Kaiserslautern and its accompanying publication focus on works on paper, predominantly gouaches, i. e. works in opaque, water-soluble paint, as well as prints including woodcuts, monotypes, and lithographs. The works were created between the years 1945 and 2011 - and hence within an exact time frame of 66 years. They thus chart the progress from the pre-Informal, highly Surrealist-influenced early works of the 1940s to the inception of the Informal movement in 1952 and its ramifications and further development in the 1960s to 1980s, up to the late works since the 1990s. The book does not claim to show each and every one of the facets of K. O. Götz's work in the medium of paper, but the selection does offer a representative overview.0(Christoph Zuschlag)0Exhibition: Volksbank Kaiserslautern, Germany (25.2.-17.4.2014).
