Summary:This collection contains the papers of the Boone family. The collection contains materials relating primarily to the economic and legal activities of Daniel Boone (1734-1820) and his brother, Squire Boone (1774-1815). The collection also contains some biographical information on Daniel and Squire Boone, composed by their descendant, Samuel Harney Boone. The collection includes correspondence, legal depositions, and bonds. The collection spans the years 1775-1898, with the bulk of the material dating between 1775 and 1795.
