Summary:To help make sure that your teaching is not needlessly repeated at KS3, and that your lessons are as effective as they could be, a close colloboration between yourself and your secondary colleagues is a must. Getting over this 'transition gap' is a difficult issue. With this in mind, the Cambridgeshire Transition Project, involving a selection of primary and secondary teachers coming together in a residential workshop, developed a range of schemes of work, designed to raise standards at KS2 and encourage more effective teaching at KS3. Showcasing one of the schemes of work and highlighting the findings of the project, this programme offers you some great ideas and ready-made resources to help you work with your secondary colleagues to make sure that learning isn't lost in transition!
Target Audience:For Primary School; Secondary School audiences.
