To the sheriff of the county of [blank] or his deputy, or either of the constables of the town of [blank] within said county, Greeting. In the name of the governor and company of the state of Connecticut, you are hereby commanded to [blank] to appear before the [blank] County Court to be holden at [blank] within and for the county of [blank] on the [blank] Tuesday of [blank] then and there to answer unto [blank] in a plea, that to the plaintiff the defendant render the sum of [blank] which to the plaintiff, the [blank] justly owes by book, [blank] as by the [blank] book ready in court to be produced fully appears; which debt the defendant hath never paid [blank] (though often requested and demanded) [blank] which is to the damage of the plaintiff the sum of [blank] lawful money. And for the recovery thereof with just costs, the plaintiff brings this suit, [blank] Hereof fail not, but of this writ, with your doings thereon make due return according to law.
