Summary:The exhibition "Overlays" emphasizes on duplications and intersections as a diagnostic tool. It reveals 12 points that overlap the criteria that formed four collections of modern art in Mexico, and offers an alternative approach to the forms in which "Latin American art" is displayed, discussed and understood. The exhibition comprises fifty-six works of art belonging to the four most important collections (public and private), of modern art in Mexico: Museum Tamayo, Museum of Modern Art, FEMSA and Collection José Antonio Pérez Simón. The art production corresponds to12 Latin-American artists: Marcelo Bonevardi (Argentina), Claudio Bravo (Chile), Sergio de Camargo (Brazil), Arcangelo Ianelli (Brasil), Wifredo Lam (Cuba), Julio Le Parc (Argentina), Roberto Matta (Chile), Armando Morales (Nicaragua), Rogelio Polesello (Argentina), Omar Rayo (Colombia), Jesús Rafael Soto (Venezuela) and Joaquín Torres García (Uruguay)
