The constitutional convention to revise Louisiana's original constitution of 1812 met at Jackson, La., from August 5 to 24, 1844, and continued in New Orleans from January 14 to May 16, 1845. This text contains proceedings from the 1845 sessions only.
Additional text sometimes found bound in with this title has caption title "Journal of the convention called for the purpose of re-adopting, amending or changing the constitution of the state of Louisiana," and covers the 1844 sessions.
