Notes: | Part of the illustrations, also a plate, in v. 3 are mounted photographs. Vols. 1 and 2 are illuminated throughout. They were originally issued in one hundred monthly parts. Vol. 3 has added title within ornamental border: Appendice aux Évangiles, par Léon Curmer, 1864. Title reads: Les évangiles des dimanches et fêtes de l'année, suivis de prières à la sainte Vièrge et aux saints; texte revu par M. l'abbé Delaunay ... The volume is divided into three parts, separately paged; the first has special t.-p., with ornamental border: Les frères Wiérix: La vie de la sainte Vièrge, La divine enfance, La passion de Notre-Seigneur Jésus Christ, Les saints et les saintes; the second consists of "Notices" on illuminated manuscripts, illuminators and similar subjects; the third, in two sections, has special half-titles, within ornamental borders: Description de l'ornementation des Évangiles.
