Summary:Reviews proposals for establishment of an independent commission to assess the performance of the U.S. intelligence community in regard to the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the U.S. that destroyed the World Trade Center in NYC and damaged the Pentagon outside D.C. Discusses different sets of concerns that might be considered by an independent commission, including the immediate background to the attacks, intelligence organizational issues, and the intelligence-law enforcement relationship.
