Summary:Describes and examines the economic effects of tax cuts enacted in the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act (EGTRRA), the Job Creation and Worker Assistance Act, and the Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act (JGTRRA). Discusses pitfalls in estimating the economic effects of tax cuts, reviews the effects of tax cuts on various economic indicators as predicted by Keynesian, long-term growth, neoclassical Solow growth, supply side, and intertemporal economic models, and summarizes simulations used to project the economic effects of EGTRRA and JGTRRA prior to their enactment.
