Summary:The Artistic Occupation project was created in 2013 at SESI-SP. Its objective was to promote artistic interventions in large circulation and visualization spaces, selected in the SESI Activity Centers. In the project, diverse spaces, such as walls, street furniture, facades, gardens, pools, amongst others, are transformed into exhibition platforms, with artistic interventions produced in diverse techniques and materials, including paint, graffiti, installations, sculptures, collages (vinyl adhesive, long strips) serigraphy, etc. The selected artists or groups stay between 2 to 10 days in the units to develop their artwork, thus providing a direct contact with public, which accompanies the process of creation and construction of the artistic work. In this same period of assembly of the work, the artists offer workshops and lectures to the public, students or professors of SESI. Each intervention has a duration between 2 months to 3 years, and allows a deep understanding of their contents by the professor or mediators, generating a knowledge debate.
