Summary:"Blind Wall", is the first monographic volume on the work of Marcelo Cidade. The publication brings together works from the more than 10-year career of Cidade, artist whose raw material are the trash of the streets, more precisely, from the city of São Paulo "His work first arose, early in his art studies, from his involvement with (graffiti) taggers and skateboarders on the streets of São Paulo. From this, came also his flirting with illegality, since both activities imply, by their nature, disrespect for the law [ ] Cidade adopted the effigy (each tagger's personal tag) "antiateu" (anti-atheist). Thus, the disregard for the law in a city that offers very few leisure options and the congregating in the urban space allowed him to explore this environment with a greater degree of freedom, transgressing rules imposed by the government." --Page 19.
