Summary: | Nonprofit CEO Andrew Ingraham was born on August 20, 1954 in Nassau, Bahamas. He completed his studies before moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he began his professional career in the travel and tourism industry. Ingraham is the president and co-founder of the National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators and Developers. This organization was created to increase the number of African Americans developing, operating, and owning hotels in America. Ingraham was also the president of Horizons Marketing Group International. Ingraham served on the White House Conference on Tourism and the National Tourism Advisory Committee for the NAACP. His knowledge made him a reliable source for the Wall Street Journal, New York Times National Public Radio among others. He was also a member of several other organizations, including the African American Travel and Tourism Association, the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners, and the National Black Hospitality Professionals.
