Summary: | Orthopaedic surgeon Dr. James A. Hill graduated from Lane Technical High School in Chicago in 1967. He went on to receive his B.A. degree in biology from Northwestern University in 1971 and his M.D. degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 1974. After completing a one-year fellowship in sports medicine at the National Athletic Institute of Health, he was hired as an instructor in the department of orthopaedic Surgery at the Feinberg School of Medicine in 1980. From 1982 to 1994, Hill was promoted through faculty ranks as a full professor of orthopedic surgery in 1994. He later served as an attending physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and was appointed as the hospital's chief of staff and served in that capacity from 2006 to 2008. Hill has published papers in more than fifty-five medical journals, including the Journal of Back and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation and Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.
